You can do what you want, but if you're visiting then the standard events are a speech, mainstreeting, or canvassing. A speech should be self explanatory but for the other two:


This is where you walk down a street and chat to normal people. Give us some ideas of what you said, and you can hand out a leaflet if you want (hint: you should, it's ok if it's a leaflet you're using elsewhere, but it might help if it reinforces your messages). Here's an example.


This is where you knock on doors and hope they don't set a dog on you. Give us a rundown on what you say to people who answer the door - a bit like mainstreeting, but what would you say to someone who is a Labour/Tory/Lib Dem voter? Leaflets or posters they can put up are good. An example is here.
