Re: Greenwich and Lewisham
Ward Speech Over the last several decades this country has faced a housing crisis through a series of good intent, bad execution policy. Recently Juliet Manning announced to Parliament that the Government will be taking up the mantle to build 575,000 new, energy efficient homes over three years, spe...

Re: PC: Conservative Party's New Leader?
The Conservatives have been failing and flailing about as a man about for months. Under Croft they did not have a plan nor did they have policy. It was a mess of “throw to the wall and see what sticks” and it hasn’t worked. Just look at the polling. They’re going backwards not forwards. I wasn’t sur...

Re: PC 12: Shadow Budget(s)
Let’s look at the numbers. Mr. Croft promised on nationwide television a £10 billion surplus. In stead it’s a £4 billion. He railed on the government about Environment policy, he doesn’t touch it. He cut foreign aid. He builds schools without maintenance budgets, and privatises the Royal Mail. When ...

Re: PC 12: Shadow Budget(s)
I think the Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Chancellor need to aplogise for misleading the people and breaking commitments. When they pledge a £10 billion surplus and only show £4 billion it’s a break of the public trust.

Re: PC 12: Shadow Budget(s)
The Shadow budget is just a return to the same old cycle of boom and bust of the Thatcherite era. Now the Leader of the Opposition has raved that his party left the economy in womderful hands; conveniently forgetting the recession, unemployment, and waste. He leaves off that school infrastructure wa...

Re: PC 11: Budget
After watching both the Lib Dems and the Torys bungle their budgets and break promises I think it’s abundantly clear that our slow and steady path of smart investment and controlling costs is the right way to go. We’re keeping our promises to the people. We’re investing in public sector and encourag...

Re: PC 11: Budget
The Leader of the Opposition talked about the definition of insanity in his speech. I think it’s insanity to return to boom and bust economics of the past and believe that this time we will have different results. We don’t need the tax slash and burn policies of the Tories. Nor do we need to raid th...
