Early Day Motions Early Day Motions can be put forth by any MP on any subject or issue. They are, as a rule, not debated and never go to division; they are usually submitted with the signatures of other MPs who are in agreement with the contents and are simply a way for MPs to express their feelings on a particular issue in a short-hand type of way.
