Biography
Born in January 1978 to a Jewish British diplomat stationed in the Tel Aviv embassy and his Israeli wife, David Malkin is both a British subject and an Israeli citizen. He was educated in the UK from the age of four when he attended a Preparatory school before going up to Eton aged 13. He performed well at Eton and was awarded a place at Oxford University upon leaving, however he deferred his entry due to being conscripted into the Israel Defense Forces. Noted for his academic excellence he was permitted to serve in the Aman, Israel's Military Intelligence Directorate, where he flourished and rose to the rank of Samal, the equivalent of a British Sergeant.

During his time with the IDF he took part in the Security Zone campaign, various actions against the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, and the period leading up to the Second Intifada. Knowing of the looming threat David had a difficult choice to make ahead of him.

David strongly considered taking up further service as an Officer in the IDF due to the coming war; however instead he chose to return to the UK and sit his BA in Jurisprudence at Oxford. He graduated with First Class honours and was called to the bar a year later at Middle Temple. He practiced mostly Criminal Law but in 2010 he was offered a position as an advisor on the Constitution to David Cameron's first Government. He resigned from his role indicating to David Cameron that he intended to seek election as an MP in the 2015 general election. He was chosen to stand in the Conservative safe seat of Windsor. Since 2015 he has served as a backbench MP affiliated with the Red Tory movement and to a lesser extent the Cornerstone Group and the Conservative Democrats. He is also a strong supporter and vocal member of the Conservative Friends of Israel, as speaks passionately in Parliament on a issues pertaining to Justice, Law and Order, the Constitution, Foreign Affairs (especially if it involves Israel) and Defence. He also sits on the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee.
