Say something nice thread

Post by Sameen Shaw »

Used to be a bit of tradition in other places, but in this thread, you can say something vaguely nice about the player (OOC) above you.

This might foster a bit of a community spirit and perhaps lower tensions when IC might spill over into OOC? Anyway, just a thought. Tally ho.

That's very kind, Will. Thank you. And since you forgot to say something nice about Marty, let me say something nice about each of you:

Martijn has been around this game for as long as I can remember and, even in those early days for both of us (which I wish I could forget sometimes), he was and remains one of the people most committed to the game. His willingness to put his personal life and sometimes sanity at risk to ensure this game's survival and health, though not always properly appreciated, is a big reason that PolUK is still around at all. He has sacrificed and, I think in many ways, grown personally for and through his commitment to PolUK and doesn't get the credit he deserves for it.

Will, though significantly newer to the game, is a mainstay feature and I think the game and community are richer for his presence. His work ethic is, I think, unrivaled among modern players of the game and his enthusiasm and positive attitude are infectious and to be held up as a model standard for anyone in the game and outside of it. Give him a few more years, and some really good mentorship, and Will shall be a titan of PolUK.

The person above me, was a great admin. I'm glad that he stayed here in the player base and I wish him the best of luck with his next kid. (I'm so glad I've got several more years planned before I have any lol)

The person above waged an excellent leadership campaign and fully deserved his second place, if not better.
