Cosette Beauvais-Becker Concession Statement

Post by Ege »

Good afternoon everyone,

I want to start by thanking our volunteers, our campaign staff, my family, and most important to the Conservative Party members who voted for me in this election. This was not the result we had hoped for but when we look where we began and the result we have gotten, this is not a loss, this is a delay. When I started this campaign, I was all alone with only support from Mr.Sackville-Bagg and over the course of the campaign, our movement grew bigger and bigger, this was a David versus Goliath proportions of a campaign, all of Conservative Party elite combined forces against our campaign and we still have achieved this wonderful result, 47 percent of the vote. This couldn’t have happened without your support and I thank you for it.

Now, I have called William Croft and congratulated him on his victory and he has graciously accepted it and also offered his own congratulations for our campaign. I have been offered a spot on Shadow Cabinet, Education but I have let William know that I couldn’t accept such an offer and I will support the Conservative Party from the backbenches. Our fight for a just Britain is not over. Our fight for a Britain that values god, flag and community is not over. We have just begun and we will not stop until we reach our aim. To this aim, I am announcing that I will be starting a pressure group inside the Conservative Party, our aim will be installing traditional and patriotic values within the party and recruiting outside voices inside the party. We will be advancing our values and will not be silenced or rejected, this is our party as well and we will continue to fight for it.

I want to close my short statement with a quote from an American politician I hardly agree with but still find this quote very inspirational. For me, a few hours ago, this campaign came to an end. For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.

"This is not a loss, this is a delay." Prophetic.

CBB has made herself (or has been made) a nuisance to the Croft regime at Smith Square and she seems to revel in it. But this speech, essentially, tells him that she's going to do it and he still fell for it.

This speech doesn't gain her any influence, but it does go down as a major foreshadowing to what we now know has happened.
